About Root Signal

Root Signal is an independent public-interest monitoring and data infrastructure programme of EAVA Artists. We continuously record how media, political, religious, and public actors frame human rights and inclusion across East Africa — in English, Swahili, and Luganda.

Narrative monitoring is our primary product: a structured, ongoing record of how rights and inclusion are discussed in public life. Verified incident documentation is the second, connected spine — individual events linked back to the narrative environment around them, so the pattern and the evidence support each other.
